Love blossomed on coach holiday
William Strang and Carol Wood met on a Johnsons Coaches holiday to Yorkshire in September 2014 and romance flourished. So much so that they married in July at the Redcliffe Hotel in Paignton - whilst on another Johnsons holiday!
Johnsons Coaches offer a range of inclusive tours for single travellers called ‘Single Traveller Holidays'. They often get clients worried that these are ‘singles holidays', where they match-make them looking for love! In fact, these holidays are simply for those clients who are travelling on their own for a variety of reasons and are looking for hotels that offer no single room supplement.
However, it was on one of Johnsons' Single Traveller Holidays that Mr Strang and Ms Wood were seated next to each other on the coach. By the end of the tour they were inseparable and it was with great joy Johnsons heard that not only were they getting married, but getting married whilst on a Johnsons tour in July!
Friends and family of the couple along with Johnsons' driver Andy Daw and courier Jenny Garret and the fellow passengers on the tour, were there to help celebrate this very happy occasion and the team at Johnsons sent flowers and a new luggage tag in the name of ‘Mrs Strang' for her return journey home as a newlywed.
