Award winning family business, Johnsons Coach Travel of Henley-in-Arden took home three Highly Commended awards at the 10th Annual Midlands Family Business Awards
The firm scooped up the Highly Commended Awards for Family Business of the Year, Service Excellence and the 2019 People’s Choice Award.
The awards, held on Thursday 7th November 2019 at the King Power Stadium in Leicester, showcased the most impressive, talented and innovative family-owned businesses within the Midlands.
In presenting the Highly Commended for Service Excellence award, the judges said “[Johnsons] showed they really understood their customer needs and have maintained their passion for 110 years!”
Peter Johnson, Operations Director of Johnsons Coach Travel, collected the award with his team in front of 300 attendees including awards finalists, independent judges and sponsors.
Johnsons also took home the 2019 Highly Commended for the People’s Choice Award sponsored by Streets Chartered Accountants. This award was chosen purely by a public vote upon presenting the award, James Pinchbeck of Streets Chartered Accountants said “It was great to see how much enthusiasm went into the great campaigns that were created to engage customers, suppliers, friends and family. In the end it was only 48 votes that separated the Highly Commended from the Winner.”
The firm came runners up in taking home the prestigious Family Business of the Year Award, instead winning Highly Commended. The judges said ‘[Johnsons] showed a strong track record of innovation and success with strong family values and a desire to continue to grow the business for the future.”
