We are seeking someone to take over running the Guild; closing date November 11

 

The Guild of British Coach Operators is looking for an individual to take on the administration of the Guild, following the retirement of the existing consultant at the end of 2019.  The role involves arranging and attending Guild meetings, dealing with membership enquiries and renewals, general administration, accounting and company secretarial tasks and co-ordination of training activities.  A working knowledge and understanding of the coach industry is desirable along with IT skills. 

The commitment is c. 500 hours pa and is on a consultancy basis, not as an employee.  You will be expected to provide your own office facilities and equipment and to work under the control of the Board of Directors.

The Guild is also registered as a provider of Driver CPC periodic training, delivered through our member companies on a Consortium basis, and expressions of interest are also sought for the continued management of this separate activity.  This could as part of the general administration function or as a separate role; the hours are in addition to the 500 quoted above.
