03/01/2020 - Richard Delahoy Retires

Long serving administrator to the Guild of British Coach Operators is to retire after 17 years of managing the affairs of the Guild.

Richard is to be succeeded by Steve Whiteway, who is well known as the former MD of Epsom Coaches and as an industry figure.

Members presented Richard with a gift, to aid his ambitions to do more travelling in retirement, although his association with the Guld will not be entirely lost, as he will continue to oversee the Guild's training activities for a period.

Steve Whiteway commented, “Richard is going to be an extremely hard act to follow, his excellent stewardship of the Guild's affairs, has done much to enhance its value to members and to the wider industry.  His passion, knowledge and experience will be sorely missed, although I will no doubt be drawing on that as I take over from him over the next few months. Together with all the members, I wish Richard a long and happy retirement and to thank him, for many years of exemplary service to the Guild and its members”.
