Following on from our earlier 2015 order for 2 Daf Vanhool TXs. We are pleased after our visit to the (CTTC) Coach & Bus Show 2014 in Dublin to announce, we now have another 4 coaches currently on order from Moseleys and EVM.

We have on order from Moseleys 3 VDL Futura 2 models at the factory in Holland as well as a V.I.P spec 9 seat Mercedes from EVM. We have returned after a few years to place our chosen order with Moseleys for the 2015 season, our last new VDL coaches joined our fleet in 2008 and our company are looking forward to rejoining our partnership with Moseleys.

The new coaches will be built by VDL in Holland to our exact executive specification complete with 2 fitted with 53 and 1 with 57 seats. The coaches will have half leather seats, full air-con, w.c, hot and cold drinks and an on-board entertainment system. The new coaches will also be fitted pavement lights and with an on-board vacuum and coach wash to keep our high standards whilst out on the road. The new Mercedes from EVM will have 9 airline leather seats with 1 table wood effect flooring, dark tinted glass, Aircon and on board entertainment system.

2 of the new VDL coaches will be in tour operators livery and all will blend into our touring and private hire fleet undertaking a mixed but predominately touring workload throughout the UK and Europe. The new mini coach will join our corporate fleet, understating trips around Speyside for our world renowned whisky clients as well as carrying various private hire needs.

The total investment at the show of around £880k allows Maynes to continue to keep our fleet age profile to be one of the youngest in the UK. With the addition of the 2 new Vanhool Coaches sees a total of 6 new coaches joining our company in 2015. This shows our continued commitment to our customers that "Travelling The Mayne Way " is to travel in a first class vehicle, specifically selected for its comfort, reliability and safety.

The director Gordon Mayne has made a trip to finalise the finishing details of the new coaches to the bespoke requirements of the company. Our coach operating business was established by James Mayne in 1947 we have expanded greatly over the years and now operate coaches from our depots in Buckie, Elgin and Orkney.
