09/08/2014 - Maynes Continue to Drive With Vanhool for 2015

New luxury coaches ordered for 2015

Following on from our earlier 2014 order for four Daf Vanhool TXs and our continued excellent customer and driver feedback, we are again pleased to announce we have another 2 coaches currently on Order at the factory in Belgium. We have continued to place our chosen order with Arriva Bus and Coach for Vanhool Daf TX16 coaches for the 2015 season.

The new coaches will be built by Vanhool to our exact executive specification complete with 53 seats, full air-con, w.c, hot and cold drinks and an on-board entertainment system. The new coaches will also be fitted with on-board vacuum and coach wash facilities to keep our high standards whilst out on the road.

These coaches  will blend into our touring and private hire fleet undertaking a mixed workload throughout the UK and Europe. We already have 7 Vanhool Tx coaches in our fleet and the additions were a logical step to continue the Maynes-Vanhool connection.

Maynes PR8

This total investment of around £550k allows Maynes to continue to keep our fleet age profile to be one of the youngest in the UK. More fleet upgrades may be finalised in the coming months at Eurobus Expo that will see some additional  coaches arriving with us for early 2015.

The investment shows our continued commitment to our customers that "Travelling The Mayne Way " is to travel in a first class vehicle, specifically selected for its comfort, reliability and safety.  The directors will make a trip to finalise the finishing details of the new coaches to the bespoke requirements of the company.

Our coach operating business was established by James Mayne in 1947 we have expanded greatly over the years and now operate coaches from our depots in Buckie, Elgin and Orkney.

The only way is the Mayne Way!
