Lucketts first to cross the finish line in a charity bike ride.
A coach company director has proved that Lucketts always arrive on time, having been first to cross the finish line in a charity bike ride.
Ian Luckett, director of Lucketts Travel, took part in Football to Amsterdam 2017 last week as part of a team with associates from Elephant’s Child Business Consultancy.
The event saw the team, along with 400 others, embark on a 145-mile pedal pilgrimage from London to Amsterdam over two days.
It was Ian and his team who pedaled across the line first and their epic adventure has since raised more than £7,500 for Prostate Cancer UK. The event as a whole has raised more than £460,000 and is close to hitting the £500,000 mark.
Ian, a keen cyclist, said: “We initially aimed to raise £1,000 so we are absolutely blown away by the generosity of our supporters and the current total. It was tough at times but the thought of raising money for such an important charity really kept us going.”
Ian was part of a team with Elephant’s Child Business Consultancy, which Lucketts works with.
