Lucketts a finalist at the prestigious UK Coach Award
Coach firm Lucketts has hit the treble with not just one but three national awards within reach.
The company, headquartered in Fareham, has been named a finalist in an impressive three categories of the prestigious UK Coach Awards. The scheme recognises the very best in coach travel and Lucketts has beaten off stiff competition from hundreds of competitors to be shortlisted.
Lucketts is shortlisted for ‘best domestic coach travel programme’, ‘best European coach travel programme’ and ‘top large fleet operator’.
Lucketts safely transports tens of thousands of daytrippers and holidaymakers every year, with around 250 holidays in the UK and Europe to choose from. Judges were impressed with the way the company used research, innovation and careful analysis of data to create its best holiday programme to date. The way the coach firm managed to significantly increase its vehicle occupancy and overall passenger numbers was also noted.
Paul Barringer, group sales and marketing director, said: “The UK Coach Awards are highly respected in the industry and we’re thrilled to be a finalist in not just one but three categories. We believe our current holiday programme is our best ever and it seems our customers agree too – with 97 per cent of them likely to recommend us based on our services.”
Paul will be among those from Lucketts heading to the awards ceremony in May, when they will find out if Lucketts has won.
Lucketts Group is an independent coach operator with a fleet of around 140 vehicles and more than 300 employees. It has five brands; Lucketts Travel, Coliseum Coaches, Solent Coaches, Worthing Coaches and Mortons Travel, which it acquired earlier this month.
Although Lucketts can trace its roots back for 92 years, it remains as ambitious as ever. Its aim is to double its current turnover to £40m within five years and become known as the best independent operator in the UK.
