14/11/2021 - Guild Trainers get together

As part of ongoing networking, The Guild of British Coach Operators training managers met for their annual seminar.

After a break due to Covid 19, the Guild's Trainers recently got together with Ross Lockett and Kirsty Allfree from the Association of Trainers (ASOT), to discuss the present training scene and to develop further courses to maintain the high standards Guild members are renowned for.

Training for drivers is a key aspect of Guild membership together with ongoing development of managers, engineers and other staff. The Guild's close liason with ASOT has ensured that a wide range of training opportunities are available, many only for Guild members.

Following the Pandemic, Guild members are re-visting their training programmes, introducing new courses that add real value to their staff's development.

The Guild's Administrator Steve Whiteway was present and commented "this seminar was a graphic demonstration of the benefits of membership for coach operators who achieve the high standards required for membership of the Guild. The passion and enthusiasm of those present was very evident and can only enhance the quality that Guild members offer their clients, through well trained staff"
