31/01/2018 - Guild members join Earned Recognition pilot scheme

First businesses to benefit from DVSA transport scheme announced

Today (31 January 2018) DVSA has published a list of 30 business and public sector organisations taking part in the earned recognition pilot.

In return for sharing performance information with the Government agency, such as MOT pass rates and drivers hours compliance, these operators are less likely to have their vehicles stopped at the roadside.

Guild members Lucketts Travel, Coliseum Coaches, Worthing Coaches and Stanley Travel are proud to be amongst the first companies recognised in this way.

Speaking about the scheme, DVSA Chief Executive Gareth Llewellyn said:

"DVSA’s priority is to protect you from unsafe drivers and vehicles.

This pilot is allowing the best operators to go about their business unhindered, so we can target our activity at those most likely to be a danger to all road users.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped us develop the pilot to the point where operators are starting to feel the benefits".
