The Fareham coach firm stepped in to provide free transport for pupils taking part in a performance overseas in Germany.

A group of 13 pupils at the Gosport school have been working with youngsters from France and Germany to create a performance about the First World War. Despite being in different countries the pupils have been working closely together to come up with the trilingual play.

And last week was the big climax as the group from Gosport headed to Germany to perform the show in front of a large audience in Munich.

Paul Barringer, sales and marketing director at Lucketts Travel, said: “We’ve been working with Bay House School and Sixth Form for many years and they’re such a great bunch. The pupils are so polite and work so hard that when we heard they needed some hep getting to the airport we were more than happy to help.”

Ian Potter, executive headteacher, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Lucketts for kindly taking our performers and staff to the airport. The pupils have been working so hard on their performance, it was a real treat for them to get a free ride to London on the comfy coach.”
