Special weekend away exploring East Anglia
South West coach company Bakers Dolphin has celebrated its 25th annual customer reunion with a special weekend away exploring East Anglia and experiencing one of the UK’s best Christmas Spectaculars.
Almost 200 travellers from across the region joined Bakers Dolphin staff, managers and directors for the get-together which included a visit to Ely Cathedral and the famous Christmas Spectacular in Thursford.
The reunion is held by the Weston-super-Mare based company every year, to bring its regular customers together and have one last knees-up before Christmas. This year marked the 25th annual reunion and guests celebrated with specially-made coach-shaped cakes.
Bakers Dolphin Sales and Marketing Director, Amanda Harrington, said: “The reunion is always great fun and this year was no exception as we celebrated a fantastic 25 years of this particular tour, which is one of the favourites on our programme.
“The weekend gives us a chance to see our regular customers and spend some time with them, while doing what we do best – holidays!
“We enjoyed a lovely day out exploring the historic city of Ely, including the magnificent Cathedral, Oliver Cromwell’s house and the Eel Trail.
“Another highlight was our trip to Kings Lynn and, of course, the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. The largest Christmas production in the country, the celebration included choirs, carols and some of the best fairground organs, including the mighty Wurlitzer.
“From the customers who had travelled with us for the first time this year to the regular customers we have been servicing for decades, everyone had a fabulous time. We’d like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and look forward to making more memories together throughout 2018.
“We’re thoroughly looking forward to next year’s reunion in Yorkshire already. Congratulations to the winner of our special prize draw who will be joining us for free!”
