22/08/2013 - Bakers Coaches nets Crewe Alexandra FC team transport contract
Bakers Coaches continues its longstanding relationship with League One football club, Crewe Alexandra. The two year deal was sealed with the introduction of a new team transport coach for the new season.
Commenting on the new contract, managing director Phil Baker said: "Our relationship with the club is now into its 22nd year and are delighted to be selected once again, to provide the team transport facilities."
"Sporting fixtures demand reliability and this is a key account for Bakers Coaches. In addition to the team coach, the company is also the preferred supplier for the supporters transport."
The new team coach made its debut for the club's first fixture - away to Bury on the 6 August. Based on a high specification 49 seat King Long vehicle, it has been refitted to meet the team's specification for comfort and convenience.
Seating capacity has been reduced to 33 and 24 of these are arranged in three ‘Pullman' style groups with tables set either side of the central aisle. Each of the groups have access to one of six TV-DVD monitors as well as facilities to plug in personal computers. Fully equipped for long distance travel the coach has all the usual executive facilities including climate control, toilet and washroom and galley services with oven, microwave, refrigerators and hot and cold running water.
