08/11/2016 - Van Hools to take the Mayne route for 2017

Following on from our 2013,14,15 order for Daf Vanhool TXs and our continued excellent customer and driver feedback, we are again pleased to announce we have another 3 Vanhool coaches currently on Order. We have returned to place our chosen order with Arriva Bus and Coach for Vanhool Daf TX15 coaches for the 2017 season.

The new coaches are to be built by Vanhool with 49 seats, full air-con, w.c, hot and cold drinks and an on-board entertainment system.

These coaches will blend into our touring and private hire fleet undertaking a mixed workload throughout the UK and Europe. We already have 9 Vanhool Tx coaches in our fleet and the additions are a logical step to continue the Maynes-Vanhool connection.

This total investment of around £800k allows Maynes to continue to keep the fleet age profile to be one of the youngest in the UK. The investment shows our continued commitment to our customers that "Travelling The Mayne Way " is to travel in a first class vehicle, specifically selected for its comfort, reliability and safety.  The directors will finalise the finishing details of the new coaches to the bespoke requirements of the company.

Our coach operating business was established by James Mayne in 1947, 2017 will be both Maynes and Vanhools 70th anniversary, we have expanded greatly over the years and now operate coaches from our depots in Buckie, Elgin and Orkney.
