Ever since our establishment, Stanley Travel have always kept our services customer-focused, with a dedication to providing the same quality
services and long-standing family beliefs that Robert McGill Scott had, when we began in 1961.
It was Robert who started Stanley Taxis (as we were known back then), with two cars in a wooden hut, more than 60 years ago. Since then,
our family business has grown considerably, but we remain the same people at heart. With over 80 vehicles and employing more than 100 people,
Stanley Travel – as we’re known today – is the largest independent public transport operator and one of the major employers in the Tyne and Wear area.
During the time of our ever-expanding company, we’ve become an ‘umbrella’ company for our travel brands – Stanley Taxis, Stanley Coaches and
The Bike Bus – all of which operate under the Stanley Travel parent company name.
We pride ourselves on only ever using high class, quality vehicles from respected manufacturers, alongside trained and qualified staff who are
equally respected, reliable and dedicated to ensuring the expectations of our customers are met, if not exceeded. Our sole aim is to provide the
“personal touch” – often so lacking in the transport and travel industry – to all of our customers, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Coaches
Our fleet of coaches vary from standard specification through to top of the range executive coaches and we can provide transport for individuals or
groups of any size. These coaches come complete with W/C, wheelchair lift and TV/DVD sets throughout the vehicle, most also have on-board WiFi and
hot drinks facilities.
