State of the art new depot now operational
Stewarts Coaches has just completed the move to its new premises located at the centre of one of Reading's main industrial areas, to the east of the town centre in Woodley.
The new premises is strategically located with respect to existing corporate clients whilst offering easy access to the M4 and A329M.
The location provides over 10,000 sq feet of exterior parking in addition to 30,000 sq feet of interior parking allow 80% of the vehicles to be housed under cover.
With the building needing significant re-modeling, the move to the new site has been a significant investment in both time and money for Stewarts Coaches. The entire project was planned by Andy himself with meticulous attention to detail and quality thus ensuring that the new location not only provided the facilities required but that it also epitomised the ‘corporate brand'.
At the heart of the operation the new engineering department boasts
§ a 15metre prefabricated steel vehicle pit, with lights and air line, fully sealed to prevent the ingress of water and gases or the escape of harmful fluids such as oils and chemicals
§ king pin shaker plate facility
§ in jack lifting beam for both axle and independent suspension systems
§ brake testing, head light testing and alignment to VoSA standards
§ high gloss epoxy resin floor coating.
