Lucketts providing travel for team and supporters in Check-A-Trade Trophy Final
It’s not just football fans celebrating Portsmouth FC’s place in the Check-A-Trade Trophy Final on March 30. Local businesses are feeling the positive impact of their city team earning a place at Wembley.
Among them is Fareham coach firm, Lucketts Travel, which is gearing up for one of its busiest days of the year thanks to Portsmouth’s success on the pitch.
The company, which is the official travel provider for the club, expects to lay on at least 50 vehicles to take eager fans to Wembley and watch their team take on Sunderland in the final. But with eager supporters still buying tickets, the figure could rise further.
Paul Barringer, group sales and marketing director, said: “As Portsmouth FC fans and official travel providers for the club, we’re absolutely thrilled that the team has made it to Wembley. Their supporters are a passionate bunch and the phones were ringing off the hook the first day that coach places went on sale.”
As well as transporting fans to the match Lucketts will drive the players on its dedicated VIP coach.
Paul added: “It’s a huge logistical undertaking but we’re more than qualified for the challenge. Our staff across all areas of the business, from sales and planning to engineering and driving, are already working together to ensure the day runs with military precision.”
Fans can still get tickets for coach travel with Lucketts to Wembley. Tickets are £30 for adults and £25 for under 16s. Pick up will be from Fratton Park.
