The marketing team that has been promoting West Country coach tour operators Bakers Dolphin for 20 years has celebrated their long-running collaboration by supporting the creation of a new studio theatre at the Tobacco Factory in Bedminster, Bristol.

Bakers Dolphin have been working with Empica PR, based in Wraxall, for 20 years, producing media stories, public relations, videos, social media and digital marketing.

The two organisations joined forces to sponsor seats at the multi-purpose 86-seat performance space, which was launched this week and which will welcome 30,000 people every year to enjoy shows.

Amanda Harrington, Marketing Director at Bakers Dolphin, said: “We felt it was a great way to mark a long-running collaboration, which is unusual in business these days.

“Over the years the marketing channels have changed incredibly but the same team are creating engaging ways to sell through our website and online, producing newsletters, promoting our shops and brochures and creating stories in the regional and national media.”

Martin Powell at Empica said: “South Bristol is a heartland for Bakers Dolphin customers, so some of the people who will be taking their seats in the newly-created theatre are the same ones that take a seat on the coach tours.”

Tobacco Factory Theatres is expanding its programme by creating the new space. The Spielman Studio Theatre will also provide a home for the organisation’s flourishing Children and Young People Programme, allowing expansion of activities to over 3,000 young people each year.
