03/02/2012 - Bakers Dolphin Get Top Marks

West Country coach operator Bakers Dolphin has passed an audit by the Guild of British Coach Operators achieving a 100 per cent mark.

The Guild, which examines quality standards and excellence among coach operators, carries out an independent rigorous 44-point check on coach operators every two years and will only allow those who reach the highest standards to become members.

Bakers Dolphin Get Top Marks

Bakers Dolphin is the only coach company in the region to reach the exacting standards.

Managing Director Max Fletcher said: "The Guild believes that the customer should be at the centre of everything and we are keen to subject ourselves to their examination as they look at everything we do from that perspective."

"To receive 100% marks from their audit is a real credit to all our staff and is especially pleasing for our drivers, who are the public face of the business meeting and transporting customers every day."

The Guild of British Coach Operators was formed in 1985, to represent some of the UK’s leading coach operators, who are dedicated to offering Quality Assured Coach and Bus hire. As well as benchmarking quality they also provide specialist training for coach operators and staff to ensure the very highest industry standards are maintained.

Bakers Dolphin provides British and continental coach holidays, a coach hire service and some bus services and school transport links in the region.
