The Galloway Group, established nearly 40 years ago, includes one of the UK´s leading educational study tour operators, together with one of East Anglia´s major luxury coach operators, offering its popular door-to-door holiday programme from a large area of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

Location

The company’s head office and main vehicle depot is in Mendlesham, between Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, where we have a well-equipped workshop with a top-class engineering team to carry out preparation, maintenance and repairs on our fleet of over 40 vehicles. The company has four sales offices in Stowmarket, Ipswich, Colchester and Felixstowe, where Coach Tours, Excursions, European and Worldwide Air Holidays, Cruises and Disney Paris Breaks can be booked.

Coaches and services

Coaches
The Galloway fleet comprises the highest quality touring coaches, from 33 to 53 seats, which include the very latest facility vehicles with extra legroom and luggage space. Other facilities include hot drinks, fridge, toilet/washroom, double-glazing, air suspension, air conditioning and public address system. We have four Sapphire Stars that were developed for our top of the range coach holidays utilising four-star hotels, with many enhancements to increase the quality and luxury feel still further, such as extra legroom and luggage space, leather inserts to seat backs and head rests. We also have a range of buses and other smaller vehicles.

Quality Assured
As well as the Guild of British Coach Operators, Galloway is a member of the Confederation of Passenger Transport, the main organisation representing and advising the coach and bus industry, and accredited by CoachMarque. We are one of the founder members of the Consortium of Independent Tour Operators.

As well as the reassurance of travelling with a long-established, well-respected and sound company, clients’ money is protected through the Bonded Coach Holidays financial protection scheme, approved by the Department of Trade and Industry as satisfying the requirements of the Package Travel Regulations. If your holiday includes air travel, financial protection is provided through the Air Tour Operators Licensing scheme. (ATOL number 6268).

Galloway is fully aware of its responsibilities concerning the safety of its passengers. We have a Safety Management System that details what steps we take to check the reliability and safety of each element of your trip, and we carry out Risk Assessments to evaluate any hazards.
