15/10/2012 - Quality Line to the Rescue
Quality Line, the bus operating arm of Epsom Coaches Group, will be operating the 479 bus service linking Epsom with Guildford from Friday 12th October following the collapse into administration of the previous operator, Countryliner Ltd.
Quality Line have rushed into place replacement buses and drivers and will be offering complimentary travel on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th October. A new and simpler flat fare structure will apply from Monday 15th October.
Bus Service Manager Jon Ball stated, “We are operating the 479 route at extremely short notice as we would not wish the many users of the service to lose often their only means of travel, even for a short period. We will therefore be providing the full timetable from early Friday morning 12th October, using our spare fleet and some hired in vehicles. Our standby driving team have been out route learning and we are ready to go. It will take a few days for things to settle in, but we very much look forward to providing a long term and high quality service to all the passengers who use this essential link”
