Partnership with Lucketts Travel
Portsmouth FC fans are set for a smooth ride this season thanks to a partnership with local business Lucketts Travel.
The south coast football club has appointed Lucketts as its official away travel provider for another year to ensure supporters arrive at games in style.
The Fareham-based firm will be the sole coach transport provider for all away games, with fleets of modern, high spec executive coaches travelling to competitor grounds across UK throughout the season.
With away fixtures against the likes of Blackpool, Plymouth and Grimsby in the pipeline, as well as any potential cup matches, Lucketts’ coaches could travel more than 10,000 miles over the season, transporting thousands of supporters to away games in first class style.
Paul Barringer, group sales and marketing director at the coach and travel firm, said: “Portsmouth FC has made some a number of signings over the summer but needless to say the signing of Lucketts has to be our favourite. We’ve provided an exemplary service for the club over the years so we’re delighted that it’s been recognised through this latest contract.”
Portsmouth FC Chief Executive Mark Caitlin said: “Our fans are famous for supporting their side in large numbers and travelling all over the country to get behind the Blues.
"It’s important that we provide a reliable service to get them to away games and so we’re delighted to be partnering with Lucketts once again."
