New MD at Woods Coaches

An internal promotion at Woods Coaches of Leicester has promoted Kevin Brown to the position of Managing Director. He was previously the company’s Operations Director.

The MD position became vacant following owner Mark Wood’s sixtieth birthday and his decision to reduce his weekly working hours. He will continue to be Company Chairman and play an active part in running the company on a part-time basis.

Kevin joined the company 13 years ago and has been the company’s Operations Director for the past 8 years. In his new role he will be responsible for overseeing day excursion and coach tour operations in addition to the private hire and bus service side of the business.

Mark Wood commented, “Kevin is very experienced in the coaching industry and has a track record in developing the business with a keen eye for detail.”

“Over the years I have seen a number of changes in the company and the industry,” said Kevin. “I am looking forward to the many new challenges ahead, and whilst maintaining the family values which have helped to build this company’s culture I will continue to help it grow by being customer focussed, developing staff and expanding our very popular tours, excursions program and bus services.”
