Fleet expansion and upgrade at Euro Bus Expo.

Maynes Coaches attended the recent Euro Bus Expo which allowed our Company to meet some of the leading manufacturers and suppliers to the Coach Industry, and we are pleased to announce we made a firm order for seven new coaches for the 2013 Season.

Attended by over 10,000 Industry professionals it gave us the opportunity to experience products and services from over 260 premium Industry suppliers easily under one roof and assess what is right for the Maynes Coaches team and our customers.

Our total investment of around £1.7m in various sized vehicles shows our continued commitment to our customers that "Travelling The Mayne Way " is to travel in a first class vehicle, specifically selected for its comfort, reliability and safety.

Adding to our fleet we have ordered two smaller vehicles. The first from Coach Traders was a Mercedes UNVI Vega GT Coach built luxury 16 seat mini-coach, this was specifically chosen to assist us in our corporate clients travel needs. The stylish coach has full air con, 16 leather seats, tables and an on-board entertainment system.

The second a BMC MidiLux 27 seat midi coach from BMC UK has leather seats, full air con, crew seat an on-board entertainment system. This is the first BMC coach our company have bought, it will fit nicely into our popular range of midi coaches we already have in our fleet. The MidiLux will be used on all our private hire and corporate customers travel requirements.

Moving to the large coaches we have ordered from Arriva Bus and Coach three Vanhool Daf TX15 coaches. This is the first time we have bought this combination, although we are no strangers to Vanhool and Daf having had these makes many times before. The new coaches will be built by Vanhool to our exact executive specification complete with 49 seats, full air-con, w.c, hot and cold drinks and an on-board entertainment system. These new coaches will blend into our touring and private hire fleet undertaking a mixed workload throughout the UK and Europe.

We have also ordered from MAN Coach Sales another two new Neoplan 53 seater Tourliner coaches. We already have three 53 seat tourliners in our fleet. These coaches have become a very popular size, they will predominantly be used on incoming tour work and our own private hire work. These new additions keep our number of Tourliners in our fleet to eleven all of which are all under three years old.

All coaches are due for delivery during Spring 2013. Our coach operating business was established by James Mayne in 1947 we have expanded greatly over the years and now operate a maximum of 30 coaches in depots in Buckie, Elgin and Orkney.
