Lucketts Travel wins Innovation of the Year Award

Lucketts Travel won Innovation of the Year at Portsmouth´s newspaper The News annual Business Excellence Awards. David Luckett MBE, chairman of Lucketts Travel said: "It is fantastic to be able to build on last year´s success when we won Business of the Year. This year´s award is a real testimony that innovation and forward thinking have always been at the heart of Lucketts Travel. Within our sector, the company is synonymous with quality, innovation and being a real market leader in setting standards for coach driving. ´I´he Lucketts Travel Academy takes a progressive approach to the training and development of the 150 drivers it has in our fleet."

The panel of judges were unanimous in its decision to award Lucketts Travel with the innovation award, Emma Judd, panel judge and The News business reporter said: "Lucketts Travel stood out as a company that takes a truly innovative approach to the way it runs its business. By establishing a dedicated Lucketts Training Academy and using the latest technology, the company showed that through high training standards and efficient driving practices, there are significant saving on costs of fuel and impact on the environment. The award recognises the commitment Lucketts Travel makes to its staff and customers as well as the proactive approach it take to business environmental responsibilities."
