Kent Coach Operator, The Kings Ferry Wins National Award for Excellence
Kent based, The Kings Ferry, founded 35 years ago was awarded a highly prestigious award for their customer service. Out of over 100 coach companies who entered the ‘Best Coach Operator’ category The Kings Ferry was awarded the runner up award and were the only Kent coach operator to win an award.
The award was presented to The Kings Ferry at a special awards ceremony held in the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on 10th June and brought together all the major forces in the travel industry.
The Group Travel Awards are organised by The Group Travel Organiser magazine and serve the entire industry as a way for all companies to gauge reaction to their offerings. We are extremely pleased with our award especially in light of the amount of competition we had to go up against and the way that the awards were voted for. As opposed to being judged by a panel of industry experts who may only read about your company in an awards application, The Group Travel Awards are voted by those people who deal directly with your company.
The award is also pleasing as it proves The Kings Ferry are more than just a coach operator who takes clients from one place to another with no thought. We have brought together a skilled and experienced team that are able to plan a whole itinerary for a tour. When clients come to us with a complete blank canvas and want to, for example, go on a week long tour down to the South of France, we are able to manage everything and turn that into a structured, enjoyable tour. The hassle is completely removed as we will plan everything from booking hotels and ferry crossings to making local attraction reservations and restaurant bookings.
Our travel team have become experts in their field and The Group Travel Award is clear recognition for this. For a family run company that was founded so many years ago we have had to adapt and have constantly strived to ensure we are able to offer our clients the highest possible level of service.
