01/08/2014 - Johnsons Transport Aston Univeristy Graduands to Ceremonies

Transporting over 7,000 people to and from Birmingham Town Hall in July

Johnsons Coach Travel provided the transport for Aston University's Graduation Ceremonies, transporting over 7,000 people to and from Birmingham Town Hall in July.

Aston University held their 11 summer degree ceremonies for five days last week (Monday 21 to Friday 25 July 2014) in the splendor of Birmingham's Town Hall, which first opened as a music hall in 1834.

Johnsons Coach Travel helped transport over 7,000 attendees which included the graduands and their guests with nine coaches running from 8am to 5pm each day. The event took meticulous planning to make the transport run smoothly on the day, with the added challenge this year of the A38 tunnel closures in the centre of Birmingham.

Johnsons provided nine vehicles each day, which included dedicated coaches for the VIP guests, with nine professional drivers and two ground handlers to ensure all movements ran to schedule.

Gary Harridence, Private Hire Manager at Johnsons commented: "We are delighted to have successfully collaborated with Aston University for another year and congratulations to all the Aston University students who graduated!"
