Japanese delegation visit The Kings Ferry Limited
The Kings Ferry Limited was honoured to host a delegation of 20 Japanese members of the Nippon Bus Association as it commenced its educational study mission tour of Europe. The Kent based coach operator was the first stop during an 11 day tour that will see the group visit coach and bus operations in UK, France, Germany and Austria.
Established in 1927, Nippon Bus Association is comprised of Bus companies from all over Japan and it aims to contribute to the sound development of the national bus and coach industry. Study missions such as this play a vital part in the widening of the collective groups knowledge of innovations taking place throughout the world for adoption into their own businesses or across the industry as a whole in Japan.
Of particular interest to the Association was the live tracking facility The Kings Ferry Limited operates on all 75 vehicles within its fleet which provides up to date information on each journey to their customers via their PC or WAP enabled phone or handheld device.
Danny Elford, commercial director at The Kings Ferry said ‘This was a great privilege for us and a rare opportunity to share industry best practice across international boundaries. The Association was keen to learn how we have successfully implemented our CoachTrac facility and the benefits that it provides to both our Operations department and customer alike in providing access to live vehicle location information’.
The group returned to London after a successful morning on VIP 9, one of the latest additions to The Kings Ferrys’ VIP fleet of luxury vehicles.
