Guild Members are winners - again!
Guild members achieved more recognition in September with a host of prestigious awards. Maynes Coaches won the accolade of "Coach Operator of the Year 2006" in the medium sized operator category at the routeOne Operator Excellence Awards. This added to their successes in the Highlands & Islands Business Awards where they were winners of the "Best Development of People" award and runners up for "Small Business of the Year".
Adding to Maynes successes, Johnsons Coaches were voted "Bus Operator of the Year 2006" - and this on top of winning Coach Operator of the Year in 2003 and again in 2005!
Also vying for the Coach Operator of the Year award, this time in the large operator category, was Guild member Buzzlines, who were one of three short-listed companies. Also short-listed for the Operator Training Award were Johnsons and Maynes.
Meanwhile, in the Group Leisure awards, Eddie Brown Tours were finalists in the category for "Best UK Coach Operator for European International Tours". The winner of that award, Bowen Group Travel, is the owner of Guild member Yorks Travel.
In the past 10 years, no fewer than 6 members of the Guild of British Coach Operators have been voted winner or runner up in the industry's awards for the top coach operator. By chartering a coach from a Guild member company, you really are choosing the best!
