Guild members are the best!

Two Guild members are celebrating success in the prestigious Coach Industry Excellence Awards, with Johnsons Coaches voted Coach Operator of the Year in the large operator category, while Leicester based Woods Coaches won the Coach Operator of the Year - medium sized fleets trophy.

The awards, sponsored by industry magazine routeOne, were judged by a panel of industry experts and announced on October 5th to over 500 bus and coach industry managers.

What's more, three other Guild members - Maynes of Buckie, Buzzlines and The Kings Ferry - were runners up, and Buzzlines' Paul Frankland was also shortlisted for the Manager of the Year award.

Speaking of the success, Guild Chairman Steve Whiteway of Epsom Coaches - themselves a previous winner on three occasions - said: "Membership of the Guild of British Coach Operators is only open to the very best companies in the industry - those who are committed to top quality operations. Winning the industry's top two awards is testament to the standing of Guild operators. You can hire a coach from any of the 21 companies in the Guild and be guaranteed quality assured travel."

Guild members who have won quality awards now include Eddie Brown Tours, Epsom Coaches, Johnsons Coaches, Maynes of Buckie, Tellings-Golden Miller, Truronian and Woods of Leicester.
