14/03/2014 - Grey's of Ely named as finalist for a UK Coach Award

Short-listed by the UK Coach Awards

Grey's of Ely, the Witchford based coach hire company has been short-listed for a prestigious national award by the organisers of the UK Coach Awards for 2014.

A total of 49 people, projects and organisations are on the list, across 16 categories covering the whole range of activities involved in the planning, promotion and operation of coach services. With the winners being announced on the evening of the 10th April in Manchester.

Grey's of Ely, have been nominated in the category of Coach Marketing for its Viral Social Media campaign work. Grey's have increased their brands social media presence by over 1000% in 12 months, through a combination of Facebook and Twitter marketing and their hugely successful viral YouTube Video ‘Mr T' on a Coach. Grey's are up against some of the biggest and best names in the UK, including Stagecoach plc, National Express and Shearings Coach Holidays.

UK Coach Awards chairman Allan Edmondson said, "For the sixth year running, over 200 nominations were submitted for the various award categories, many from customers who've responded to our appeal to tell us about their experience of quality service from operators and front line staff."

Grey's Managing Director, Richard Grey said of the nomination; "We're very proud to have been nominated for this award, we have worked very hard over the past 12 months to create an engaging informative social presence. This has helped potential clients contact us by another means and even helped recruit two new local staff members to the Grey's team, via Facebook only."
