Business Development Manager for Bakers Coaches

Steve Bolton has joined Bakers Coaches as Business Development Manager – a newly created executive appointment at the Biddulph-based, coach hire, holiday travel and local bus service operator.

A former operations/tours manager for a Middlesex-based coach operator, Steve Bolton has almost 30 years experience in the passenger transport sector, covering local bus service operations as well as coach hire and executive travel.

Commenting on the appointment, managing director, Phil Baker said, “Our business relies on building good customer relations, personal contacts and networking with partners, with whom we either work or do work for.”

“As a seasoned travel professional, Steve is a perfect fit for our management team and he will strengthen our purpose and direction for the coach hire side of the business.

“We want to increase revenues by maximizing the utilisation of our fleet. This means finding new customers with local companies, group travel organisations and schools and educational establishments.

“Bakers Coaches is well known for executive travel and business solutions – for conferences and airport / hotel transfers – traditional work which still forms an important part of our coaching operations.”
