Bakers Coaches website revamped
Keeping up with customers’ expectations.
Bakers Coaches has restyled its online presence. Each of the three divisions of the Biddulph based travel group; Bakers Coaches, Bakers Holidays and bakerbus, has been revamped, utilising the skills of a local marketing design consultancy to tap the latest web communications technologies.
“We are moving with the times,” explains managing director, Phil Baker. “More people are now using the Internet as their primary source of information when planning travel arrangements. We needed to raise the profile to make our services easier to find by web searches, as well as being more informative and relevant to the local community."
An important update is the introduction of a content management facility which allows Bakers personnel to update information immediately as and whenever necessary. Previously changes were processed by a third party, which was both time consuming and costly.
“We can ensure that the information on our website is always current and can be relied upon, for example to provide the daily operational status of our local bus services,” adds Phil Baker.
“The Holiday site will be updated frequently to help promote last minute booking opportunities and revisions to our various programmes for Away-days, City breaks, Theatre and Holiday excursions.
Websites dedicated to other Bakers divisions such as Engineering Support Services and Training are also being developed.
“We are planning to add a ‘Twitter’ feed to make the website more interactive and open for customer comments. Go to bakerbus; bakerscoaches and bakersholidays to follow our tweets!"
Phil Baker concludes. “No business stands still and our web presence will continue to evolve, enabling us to strengthen our commitment for keeping up with our customers’ expectations.”
