Bakers Coaches appoints new Engineering Commercial Manager

Terry Brown has joined Bakers Coaches as Engineering Commercial Manager - a newly created executive appointment at the Biddulph-based, coach hire, holiday travel and local bus service operator.

A former Dealerpoint Manager for a Volvo Bus & Coach dealership, Terry Brown has over 20 years experience in the commercial transport sector, having started his career as an apprentice vehicle technician with a local authority in Gloucester.

Commenting on the appointment, managing director, Phil Baker said, “We are very fortunate to have someone of Terry’s background and expertise, come on board.”

“We want to expand engineering capacity at Bakers Coaches to offer maintenance support services for third-party operators. Terry is a perfect fit for us and he will play an important part in taking forward our plans for developing a regional centre of excellence for the support of coaches and all passenger service vehicles.”

An immediate task is to reach out to the large rental and national vehicle leasing companies, which can benefit from the facilities provided by Bakers Coaches and its location in the North Midlands.
