Heyfordian Travel operates a fleet of modern coaches ranging in size from 18 to 82 seats with well-trained professional drivers. The head office is located at Bicester in Oxfordshire, and with branches in Aylesbury and High Wycombe, Heyfordian is ideally located to cater for the coach transport needs of West London and the surrounding counties.

Heyfordian, which was established in 1947, is a family owned and managed company. Its four directors are sons of the founder of the company and they take pride in maintaining the reputation the company has built up over the years for providing a high quality service to customers.

The recent acquisition of Tappins Coaches in Didcot Oxfordshire means that there are now over 100 coaches available for hire in the combined fleets and gives a wider geographical spread to Heyfordian’s activities.

The company’s reputation has been built on reliability and safety. This means providing the type of service the customer wants - punctual, efficient and friendly. Heyfordian’s fleet of coaches is maintained at its own in-house engineering facility guaranteeing this level of safety and reliability.

Our History

Established in 1947, Heyfordian Travel is a family owned and managed business. The transport roots of the family go back to 1890 when a branch of the family were the village carriers in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire from where the name Heyfordian originates. Haulage was the mainstay of the family in the 20th century with mechanised trucks introduced after the First World War. Haulage continued after the Second World War when the founder of Heyfordian identified a need for passenger transport. The business prospered because the founder soon acquired a reputation for providing high quality customer care.

Heyfordian operates a fleet of over 60 coaches. They range in sizes from 18 to 82 seats and include luxury double deck coaches. Among the features available in the fleet are;

All Heyfordian coaches are serviced and maintained on site at Bicester by the company’s own experienced engineering staff, ensuring that a high level of safety and reliability is maintained.
