Bakers Coaches has been established for over 70 years and still has direct family involvement. The Company is now directed by Philip Baker. The Company has successfully developed and expanded to its current size by ensuring all customers receive a high quality, reliable, efficient and friendly service from initial contact through to their safe return home. Our Volvo, Scania and Mercedes coaches are operated by a dedicated team of professional and friendly drivers, backed up by highly skilled teams in maintenance, transport and administration. Our Customer Base is now both National and International with the majority of our work in the specialist areas of coach touring and corporate transfers. In February 1998 the Company was only the third coach operator in the UK to be recognised as an Investor in People and it is still recognised today. We also achieve the industry National Quality standard; Coach Marque. In 2007 we were awarded the Route One Operator Training Award.

Location
Bakers Coaches is located in Central England very close to the M6 motorway and only a short distance from Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands Airports. Our central position means we are approximately one hour from Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Nottingham and within easy reach of London and its airports.

Coaches
In addition to our bus fleet of 38 vehicles, we have a Flexible coach fleet of 19 vehicles ranging from 25 and 33 seat midi coaches, 53 and 57 seat coaches with a large number of 49 seat Executive coaches complete with toilet/washroom, cd/dvd, hot drinks facility and air conditioning. An Executive car or People Carrier is also available. For Corporate or Special Day Hires, we have Corporate Hospitality coach with 32 leather seats,8 tables, microwave, double oven,fridge and full rear galley. We also have two 55 seat Executive vehicles capable of towing a trailer – ideal for orchestral band tours. In addition one vehicle is fully DDA compliant, capable of carrying 2 wheelchairs in addition to 47 seats.
